Insitu palisade walling launched by moladi

Insitu Palisade Walling launched by moladi

moladi launches new palisade security walling systemThe moladi walling system is simply cast with steel reinforcing placed at predetermined positions and intervals between the patented plastic formwork, on site (in-situ). This process is the same way bridges and high rise buildings are constructed This superior insitu process forms a homogenous monolithic wall with the option of altering the compressive strength of the mortar (concrete without stone) for different soil conditions and levels of application. The wall strength can be varied by adding more or less cement, varying the compressive strength from 10 MPa to 30 MPa.

Test have proven that a moladi insitu wall is far superior to precast wall panels. Precast panels can be snapped, cracked or broken by simply kicking the member. Because existing palisade fencing is erected/assembled on site, the wall is actually made up of individual precast members having to slot into each other, making th…

Substandard Housing Takes Toll on Children of Low-Income Families

Researchers at Boston College and Tufts University shows that the distinct emotional and educational price children pay when their families live in run down apartments and homes.

Data culled from a six-year study of 2,400 children, teens and young adults found emotional and behavioural symptoms such as anxiety, depression, lying and aggressive behaviour are closely connected to poor housing quality and the related stress placed on parents, children and families, according to the report, which was published in the journal Developmental Psychology.

Children growing up in poor quality housing plagued by leaky roofs, broken windows, peeling paint, debris and vermin experience greater emotional and behavioural problems at young ages and later see their school performance suffer, researchers report in one of the most comprehensive assessments ever conducted into the impact of housing on children in the U.S.

Lean construction system

Lean construction system
One of the important principles under a lean production paradigm is termed ?lean assembly?. This refers to simplifying the process of assembly through industrialisation, modularisations, standardisation, and continuous flow processes.

The reduction of operations required for a production process means less chance of the occurrence of errors, waste and rework. This follows from the same logic that the fewer the number of operations, the higher the quality of the product and a predictive timeline, resulting in cost savings.

Top 20 global cement companies - Lafarge #1
To coincide with the release of the Global Cement Directory 2013, Global Cement Magazine has taken a closer look at cement companies around the world, comparing capacities to analyse the development of the global cement market. Through this analysis we have determined the Top 20 global cement companies - and those close behind. We comment on their place in the cement industry in different world regions.

The global cement industry is a good indicator of the growth and progress of a country as cement consumption is closely linked to per-capita income. It implicates future changes in the development of a region or country and depends on several factors like demand, raw material reserves, market access and economic conditions.

The cement industry has changed significantly in recent years through trans-national consolidations and co-operations. Much of the potential is in emerging markets, especially China and India. Emerging markets represent appro…
